The Process

If you are interested in having Maida Vale create a custom design, the process is simple and easy to follow. When you are ready to begin, please complete our custom order inquiry form to get a quote on your project.

STEP 1: Consultation
Once you receive a quote that suits your needs, the process begins with a simple, yet thorough information gathering session. Whether conducted in person, by phone, or via email, this consultation will help us uncover your specific invitation or announcement needs. Together, we will discuss your vision—covering everything from your chosen color palette, overall theme and personal style. These characteristics are very important and will be reflected in your design.

STEP 2: Placing Your Order
Once your consultation is complete, you will receive an invoice for down payment via email in 1-2 business days. Once your payment has been submitted, work on your designs will begin.

STEP 3: Design Concepts
Within 5-7 business days (or the timeframe we have agreed upon), we turn your ideas into reality as you receive three creative concepts to review. Once you have considered each design, you will choose the direction you prefer and provide feedback regarding the overall design of the piece.

STEP 4: Initial Proofs
After your feedback has been gathered, the selected concept will be revised as necessary and additional companion pieces, such as accompanying insert cards, will be designed. Once your collection is complete, the entire set is returned to you for review. At this time, you will have the opportunity to proofread and edit your wording. Because we do not want to burden your budget with costly reprints further down the line, please review each piece carefully.

STEP 5: Revisions
Once you have had a chance to review your invitation suite thoroughly, your proofs will be updated and returned to you for a final review. Please note that one round of revisions is included in the pricing structure. Should your needs exceed one round of changes, a change fee of $25 will apply.

STEP 6: Final Deliverables
After the design of your invitation or announcement has been reviewed and approved by you, we will prepare your files for print production. At this time, payment of your account balance is required to begin production on your invitation or announcement kit. Once final payment has been submitted and production begins, changes cannot be made. Shipping time varies based on location, but in most cases you will receive your kit within 3-4 weeks.
